Redevelopment of the Innisfail CBD & Fitzgerald Esplanade
A JCU Urban Design initiative partnering students with industry to deliver a master plan commissioned by the Cassowary Coast Regional Council. The master plan hopes to create attractive functional public facilities linking the township to the Esplanade with clear communication and marketing. This combination of integrated design and marketing will in turn contribute to the success of surrounding businesses and the vitality of Innisfail as a whole. Best practice urban design seeks to address the constraints and opportunities of the masterplanning area in order to deliver the best possible environmental, social and economic outcomes.
